Last spring I went to Yosemite Valley to do the Clouds Rest hike.
Unfortunately, it was only May 3rd and the Tioga Pass Road wasn't open yet.
So, I did the 4-mile trail instead and went back a week later to try Clouds Rest.
4-mile trail goes from the valley floor to Glacier Point 3,200' above.
It's actually 4.6 miles since they made a few spots easier than the original trail.
It has excellent views of Yosemite Falls on the way up.
In fact, you can see all of the falls, and although it started out in shadow, by the time I got up to the top it was in full sunlight!
