4-Mile Trail in Yosemite, CA.

Last spring I went to Yosemite Valley to do the Clouds Rest hike.
Unfortunately, it was only May 3rd and the Tioga Pass Road wasn't open yet.
So, I did the 4-mile trail instead and went back a week later to try Clouds Rest.

4-mile trail goes from the valley floor to Glacier Point 3,200' above.
It's actually 4.6 miles since they made a few spots easier than the original trail.
It has excellent views of Yosemite Falls on the way up.
In fact, you can see all of the falls, and although it started out in shadow, by the time I got up to the top it was in full sunlight!

WOW! Lots of stuff since Half Dome with Doug!

I'm sorry but I simply haven't kept this up near as much as I should.
Since Half Dome, Doug and I have done Clouds Rest, Berry Creek Falls, and just yesterday we did the Matt Davis / Steep Ravine loop trail on Mt. Tam.
It's only me here and I just can't keep up too many things at once all by my lonesome.
Right now I'm making Carolina Reaper Hot Onion Powder for my HotSpiceGuy.com business venture.
(If you like hot spices that are really flavorful instead of only hot, check it out.)
Right now I just finished an article about "Dehydration," you may find interesting.

Anyway, here we go...

Clouds Rest, Oct 2015

Clouds Rest overlooks Half Dome by about 1,000' elevation.
Neither one of us was prepared to climb that last few hundred feet this year.
We'll get it next year, though.

It's flowing again with all the rain!

Behind us, (to your right, our left,) is Stinson Beach.
In fact, that's the Bolinas Headlands you see next to Doug's head there.
Read my article about Bolinas, the town that doesn't exist.

I must admit to being amazed at how fast and soon my body loses it's tone now that I'm "older".
I won't use the word "old", since I'm not old, but I am older than I used to be.
I can't call that "unfortunate" though, since I am so much more relaxed now than when I was young.
Nevertheless, life's a blast!
JUMP!
You know you want to!
