"Atop Sentinel Dome"

On this trip to Yosemite, Brian, Sandi, and I went up above to Glacier Point.
It sits about 3,200 feet straight above Curry Village.
It's about 35 miles to drive there and I'm told it takes 1-1/4 hours.
We just came in from Madera and went up to Glacier Point instead of going into the valley.
It was great!

Instead of being down below in the valley, we were up top with the peaks.
I walked a mile over and up to the top of Sentinel Dome.
You could look both ways up and down the valley from there.

Then we went further out to Glacier Point itself, and you're right across from Half Dome.
Eyeball-to-eyeball, so to speak.
It was a great trip, especially since it was a change of plan because my hip was acting up.
I had wanted to do the Upper Yosemite Falls walk.
That's the 'Mother of all Stairmaster workouts'.
